In this edition, our Training & Placement Team spoke with Mr. Rahul Kumar, an alumnus of the B.Sc. IT (2021–2024 batch). During his time at the college, Rahul distinguished himself through his strong technical foundation, deep curiosity for learning and a consistent willingness to explore beyond the classroom. He showed remarkable clarity in understanding the core concepts of Information Technology and an exceptional ability to turn theory into practical applications. Rahul actively engaged in technical assignments, projects and hands-on learning, often showing innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. His disciplined approach, analytical mindset and enthusiasm for technology made him stand out among his peers.

How would you describe your overall learning journey at Manas College during your degree programme?

My learning journey at Manas College of Science, Technology and Management has been both meaningful and enriching. Throughout my Information Technology degree, I acquired not only theoretical knowledge but also practical insights into various technical concepts. The supportive faculty and well-structured curriculum helped me progressively develop skills in programming, problem-solving and technology application. The college environment fostered curiosity and continuous learning, making my academic experience both productive and enjoyable.

What skills, habits or perspectives did you develop at Manas College that you still carry forward today?

During my time at Manas College, I cultivated essential skills such as analytical thinking, teamwork and effective communication. Engaging in assignments, projects and presentations enhanced my problem-solving abilities and time management. I also developed a strong appreciation for continuous learning, especially in the ever-evolving field of Information Technology. These skills and perspectives continue to motivate me and help me adapt in both academic and professional environments.

Which moments, activities or experiences from your college life stand out as most valuable to you now?

Some of the most valuable experiences include working on technical projects, participating in practical lab sessions and collaborating with peers on group assignments. These activities helped me understand how to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Furthermore, interactions with faculty members and their guidance during project development played an important role in building my confidence and strengthening my technical thinking.

How has your education at Manas College helped you feel prepared or confident while exploring different career paths?

My education at Manas College has provided a strong foundation in Information Technology, which has increased my confidence to explore different career opportunities in the technology sector. The combination of academic learning, hands-on projects and practical exposure has helped me understand how IT solutions are designed and implemented. This preparation enables me to pursue roles in software development, web development and other IT-related fields.

What would you like to tell a student who is considering joining Manas College?

I would advise prospective students that Manas College is an excellent place to build a strong academic foundation and develop valuable skills for the future. The faculty members are supportive, and the college provides many opportunities for both academic and personal growth. Students who remain focused, actively participate in learning activities and make good use of the available resources will gain significant benefits from their time at the college.
