How would you describe your overall learning journey at Manas College during your degree programme?

My learning journey at Manas College was not only academically enriching but also deeply transformative on a personal level. The college provided a supportive and motivating environment where I was able to strengthen my subject knowledge while gradually building confidence, discipline, communication skills and a stronger sense of responsibility. Every semester brought new learning experiences, challenges and opportunities that helped me grow both as a student and as an individual. What made the journey even more meaningful was the encouragement and guidance from faculty members, including Prakash Sir, Akansha Ma’am, Avinash Sir, Himanshu Sir and Sanjay Sir, along with the positive atmosphere among classmates. Beyond textbooks and classroom lectures, I learned how to manage responsibilities, work with different people, participate in activities and handle challenges with patience and confidence.

What skills, habits or perspectives did you develop at Manas College that you still carry forward today?

During my time at Manas College, I developed important skills such as teamwork, time management, communication and problem-solving. I also learned the value of consistency, self-discipline and continuous learning. One perspective I still carry forward is the importance of staying adaptable and positive while facing challenges, both academically and professionally. One memorable experience that taught me this lesson was during the celebration of National Science Day. I had prepared a poster for a competition, but while presenting it, I realised that some parts of it were not designed properly, and I felt nervous. At that moment, one of my faculty members, Akansha Ma’am, encouraged me and guided me on how to handle the situation confidently. She advised me to focus on explaining my ideas clearly and presenting my work with confidence. Following her guidance, I improved my presentation and gave my best effort, and surprisingly, I secured Rank 1 in the competition. That experience taught me that confidence, guidance and a positive attitude can turn mistakes into success.

Which moments, activities or experiences from your college life stand out as most valuable to you now?

Some of the most valuable experiences during my college life were participating in group projects, college events, seminars and industrial visits, and interacting closely with teachers and classmates. We were not just students learning in a college; we were part of building its culture, traditions and identity from the very beginning. One of the most enriching experiences was our industrial visit to Dehradun IT Park, where we had the opportunity to visit companies like Cynotech and Rubico IT. During this visit, we gained practical exposure to the IT industry, understood real-world work environments, and learned how software companies operate, collaborate and manage projects. It helped bridge the gap between theory and industry practice, making our learning more meaningful and application-oriented.

How has your education at Manas College helped you feel prepared or confident while exploring different career paths?

My education at Manas College gave me a strong academic foundation along with practical exposure that helped me explore different career opportunities with confidence. Since my stream was Information Technology, I gained knowledge in technical subjects, problem-solving and digital skills that helped me understand the rapidly evolving tech field more clearly. The college encouraged learning beyond textbooks, which improved my ability to think critically, communicate effectively and adapt to new environments and technologies. Overall, my time at Manas College not only prepared me academically but also helped me identify my interests, develop career clarity and stay motivated towards continuous learning and professional growth in the technology field.

What would you like to tell a student who is considering joining Manas College?

I would tell future students that Manas College offers a positive and supportive learning environment where they can grow academically as well as personally. College life here provides opportunities to learn, participate in activities, build friendships and develop confidence for the future. Students who stay dedicated, active and open to learning can make the most of their experience here. Lastly, Manas College and its memories are an immutable part of my life that I will always carry with me. The experiences I had there, both academic and personal, have become deeply embedded memories that continue to shape my thoughts, values and personality. Just like a string in JavaScript that, once defined, cannot be truly altered, only recreated, the essence of my journey at Manas College remains constant within me, evolving over time into something even more meaningful, but never losing its original form.
